FOX 2 DETROIT – The NFL has requested that the Matthew Stafford Lions jersey exchange be discontinued, despite the excitement around it.
A news release from the Detroit real estate company stated, “At this time, Grover Agency is not permitted to host the Lions Jersey Exchange.” “We hope to get back with a rescheduled date soon.”
In return for a used Stafford jersey, Glover Agency Realtors owner Jeff Glover intended to give away 1,000 brand-new Lions jerseys.
In exchange for the fans’ old Stafford Lions jerseys, Glover wanted to show his support for the Lions by giving them replica jerseys of current players, particularly quarterback Jared Goff, Hutchinson, and St. Brown. Glover intended to give the Stafford jerseys—of which Stafford is currently the quarterback—to a LA homeless shelter.
The jersey swap was set to take place at Twin Peaks, a sports bar in Livonia, on Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Since the event was marketed, Glover will still be offering supporters who turn up a $25 gift card to Twin Peaks, he said.
