Whether he was with the Arizona Cardinals, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, or somewhere in between, his teams faltered to the finish line. Finally, even if we can never be sure what the majority of candidates want, we do know that Kingsbury would quickly move from this role to the next possible head coaching post that becomes open. He wouldn’t think twice about moving on.
Therefore, if the Bears believe they have a terrific find with the first overall choice, they might only be able to acquire him for a year or so. It’s possible that Kingsbury and his interview are more interested in learning about Williams than in matching him with Williams.
Although it was a wise move for the Chicago Bears to schedule the interview, Kliff Kingsbury shouldn’t be their next offensive coordinator.
