‘Open’ To Adding Another Player, Are The Cardinals About to Sign Someone?

During the offseason, the St. Louis Cardinals have been among the busiest baseball teams.

St. Louis undoubtedly needs to take some action. Surprisingly, the Cardinals were among the weakest teams in baseball the previous year. Enhancing the starting rotation was St. Louis’ major aim going into the offseason.

In order to help stabilize the rotation, the Cardinals did just that by adding Sonny Gray, Lance Lynn, and Kyle Gibson. St. Louis has also strengthened its bullpen with the addition of some intriguing pitchers.

The Cardinals may not be done adding even if they have made a few moves, according to Katie Woo of The Athletic.

“The Cardinals believe they are built well enough to contend in a lackluster National League Central division, though they are open to making another addition,” Woo stated. “The message was unmistakable during the Winter Warm-Up Weekend: You must reach October before you can worry about October. For now, though, the Cardinals’ first priority has to be getting through April.
