Bucks: Jamal Crawford provides a direct perspective of Milwaukee

At 30-13 after 43 games, the Milwaukee Bucks own one of the finest records in the NBA. If one were to solely consider the team’s defensive statistics, it would be challenging to determine that they are a genuine challenger for the championship. This takes us to Jamal Crawford’s analysis of why, despite the Bucks having Damian Lillard, Milwaukee must be missing Jrue Holiday.

Holiday has always been a superb defensive player. He was dealt by the Bucks to the Portland Trail Blazers, who then shipped him to the Boston Celtics. Ultimately, he has been selected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team three times and the NBA All-Defensive Second Team twice. In the meantime, Lillard—who the Bucks got in the first Holiday trade—is a prolific scorer with a questionable defense. In any case, the Bucks achieved the fourth-best adjusted defensive rating in the NBA during the 2022–2024 season with Holiday on the team (111.5). With an adjusted defensive rating of 117.2, the Bucks are only 21st in the league this season.
