Texas Basketball: Updated bracketology with six weeks to go

Nothing about the Texas basketball program has gone as smoothly as anyone had imagined in the first year of the Rodney Terry era.

In addition to his unlucky on-court start (14-6, 3-4), Terry’s post-Longhorns home loss against UCF (71-77) became widely reported. Though all that drama can be subdued by adding tallies to the win column, the vast majority of fans disapproved of Terry’s handling of the “horns down” event.

Following a dismal start to league play, Coach Terry and the Horns bounced back with back-to-back victories over No. 9 Baylor and No. 11 Oklahoma on the road.

Despite losing to the BYU Cougars over the weekend, Texas basketball has a far better chance of qualifying for the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
