From classic Ranger positions like the Red Ranger to comparatively uncommon outfit combinations, the most popular Power Rangers colors are also the most recognizable. The Power Rangers timeline spans 30 seasons and features 23 teams. It should be mentioned that several teams underwent changes and even got new names. For example, Megaforce became Super Megaforce. Conversely, several transformed completely, changing both their colors and set of abilities; examples of these are Turbo becoming In Space and Dino Fury becoming Cosmic Fury. As a result, counting Ranger hues can be challenging.
Except for a handful, like Lightspeed Rescue’s Titanium Ranger or Cosmic Fury’s all-original outfit set, every Power Rangers series uses color schemes from the Super Sentai series. Because of the popularity of the Zyuranger-based animated series Mighty Morphin, some colors became far more iconic than others. Of all the Ranger colors, only two have been used in all 23 instances; the other colors have only been used in fewer than 10 seasons.
