After FSU’s commitment, Jameis Winston talks about his true feelings on Jimbo Fisher and the harassment he endures from Alabama fans.

Even now, nearly 12 years later, it’s difficult to overstate the significance of Winston’s commitment to Jimbo Fisher and Florida State over Nick Saban’s Alabama when he was raised 30 minutes outside of Tuscaloosa. Winston was the nation’s top quarterback recruit at the time.

Why did Jameis Winston choose FSU under Jimbo Fisher instead of Alabama?
Dameyune Craig, who also happened to be the coach who would later steal FSU’s signals in the 2013 National Championship game against Auburn, recruited Jameis Winston. Winston was attracting a lot of interest from Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, South Carolina, and of course, FSU. This move hindered FSU’s offense for the majority of the game until the players realized what was happening and used towels to block the play calls.
