ANGELES The Golden State Warriors defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 127-104 in the National Basketball Association (NBA), but Andrew Wiggins stood out among the players who could play.
The 28-year-old forward showed the kind of form that helped the Warriors win the NBA title in 2022 on February 7 at Wells Fargo Centre, scoring 21 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
“We don’t win another championship in 2022 without Wigs.” Teammate Klay Thompson stated, “He’s going to have to be that same Wigs that got us there a couple of years ago if we want to reach where we want to go.
After recording his second double-double of the year, Wiggins expressed satisfaction with his play, saying, “It’s coming together.” This was an aggressive mentality tonight. However, he was all over the effort put in by his teammates to destroy the injury-plagued 76ers.
The Warriors led by as many as 30 points, their biggest lead in any game this season, thanks to the 18 points apiece from Thompson and Jonathan Kuminga and the 13 points from Lester Quinones. Stephen Curry, the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, managed just nine points in twenty-five minutes.
