The formal end of the 2024 recruiting cycle has occurred with the passing of traditional signing day. Tennessee concluded with the nation’s No. 12 signing class, per the 247Sports Overall Rankings. Under head coach Josh Heupel, who is continuing to raise the bar at the University of Tennessee, this is their second straight top-12 recruiting class.
Beyond position coaches, his coaching staff provides him with a great deal of assistance. Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports examined the top recruiters for each top-25 signing class and gave Tennessee defensive analyst Levorn Harbin credit for his work.
“Levorn Harbin of Tennessee, a key member of the Vols No. 13 class, is among the best in the SEC. Jordan Ross, the top player on 247Sports, was a significant player in it. Max Thurmond is essential to the Vols’ offensive success.” Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports on Tennessee’s top recruit
Ross, the best defender to join the Vols under Heupel, was the top-ranked recruit Tennessee signed in the 2024 class. Under defensive line coach Rodney Garner’s tutelage, he should grow into a nice piece off the edge. With Ross’s abundance of tools and athleticism, the possibilities are endless. Harbin should be commended greatly for assisting Tennessee.
