College Recruiting for 2024: How did the Tennessee Volunteers fare?

The signing day for college football in 2024 has come and gone. Nowadays, it’s mainly a quiet day because most teams get their fill early thanks to the growing popularity of the early signing period in mid-December. Having said that, the Tennessee football squad enjoyed a rather uneventful day. How did they fare, though? Let’s dissect it.

Tennessee football came in at number 13, just outside the top 10, according to 247Sports. However, Heupel proved once more that he is a skilled recruiter by selecting two 5-star prospects, Edge Jordan Ross and WR Tennessee Vols signed 21 players in total, eight of them were among the top 300 in the 2024 class. The Vols performed well on the transfer portal as well, led by outstanding tight end Lance Heard, a former five-star offensive lineman.
