SAD NEWS: A crucial player for the Cleveland Browns suffered a severe injury and won’t be able to play again.

To add to their recent run of bad injury news, the Browns might potentially lose another key member of their dominant defensive line for the entirety of the season.

On Wednesday, the Browns were hit with some more bad news.

There may be more devastating injury reports following a week filled with them.

In Cleveland’s 31-27 victory against the Jaguars, pass rushergbo Okoronkwo Osustained a pectoral injury that might put him on the injured reserve list, joining a lengthy line of teammates. On the day of the announcement, the team placed another key defender, safety Grant Delpit, on injured reserve. Delpit might be able to recover from his groin injury in time for the postseason, but Okoronkwo is most likely not.

Before practice on Wednesday, head coach Kevin Stefanski stated, “I don’t have final confirmation on Okoronkwo.” “I’ll hold out hope, but it’s certainly looking [like it would be season-ending].”

In fact, Okoronkwo left the game on Sunday more than once. The former Texan eventually made a comeback to the game despite first suffering from a groin injury. He later left the game with a pectoral injury that is now believed to be season-threatening.

This is the most recent setback in a Browns season marred by illnesses; three other players had their seasons ended this week due to various ailments. Maurice Hurst, a fellow defensive lineman, and starting tacklesDawan d Jones and Jedrick Wills are on that list. This season, the Browns have already lost 13 players to injuries that will end their careers. Delpit finishes with a 14 who, at the very least, is finished with the regular season.
