The NFL Africa Super Bowl advertisement features a linebacker for the Browns.

NFL Africa’s Super Bowl commercial featured Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, a linebacker for the Cleveland Browns. The advertisement emphasizes how far the group has come in Africa.

A picture of Owusu-Koramoah at a market in Accra, Ghana, shows him watching a small boy play football. The child sprints past vendor after vendor, picturing himself playing with NFL legends. In uniform are defensive tackle Cameron Jordan, linebacker Fred Warner, wide receiver Justin Jefferson, and running back Saquon Barkley.

Rather than being depicted in uniform, Owusu-Koramoah was shown looking down on the youngster and his make-believe game while wearing his kente garment. Owusu-Koramoah’s traditional attire has made him a fashion icon.

The child stumbles onto an NFL Africa training facility at the end of the commercial, where he strikes up a conversation about the beautiful game with Super Bowl legend Osi Umenyiora. The initiative was nurtured and promoted throughout the continent by Umenyiora.
