AMAZING TRADE: A multiyear, $2,500,000 contract is signed by a world-class player with the Cleveland Browns.

Veteran defensive lineman Fletcher Cox is one player Cleveland may seek. Cox has been a member of the Philadelphia Eagles for the duration of his career thus far. But according to CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin, it could be time for Cox to start again.

From Benjamin

“Having just completed his twelfth season with the Eagles, Cox is an avid fan of the team. In addition, he appeared revitalized during a depressing 2023 defense. But in Philly, it’s time to turn the page. “How about getting together with Jim Schwartz, an old friend?”

In the first round (12th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft, Philadelphia chose Cox. Ever since, he’s made it his duty to make sure they didn’t look back on their choice. Cox was selected for four All-Pro teams and has been selected to the Pro Bowl six times. In addition, he was selected to the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team. In 2018, he contributed to the Eagles’ historic first-ever Super Bowl victory.

Cox must first determine whether he wants to pursue a career in sports before he can choose which club to play for in the upcoming season. Though there have been rumblings that the veteran lineman would retire, Cox stated he hasn’t made up his mind in an interview with the media in Las Vegas before to Super Bowl 58
