3 and 180 pounds and his high school box is great. The Vols chased him here and a state tie is definitely real. However, Missouri has done a good job of keeping him, and both programs appear to have a lot more talent than his rankings suggest. After watching the tape, I agree.Body ControlIf I said that a receiver with Jackson’s and#039;physical attributes had vertical speed, most would logically assume that he lacked the command and timing of a much smaller target. Most would be wrong too. Jackson regularly makes tackles on the sideline and keeps his balance better than the smaller defenders guarding him.
Working the sideline can be treacherous, but once a wide receiver learns to take advantage of it, it becomes much easier to make throws to his quarterback. Jackson brings that tight window ability to the offense and changes the way defenses must deploy their safeties.Arm TimingDuring his junior season, Jackson had many hits and won many ground battles, flashing a “late arm.” Heand#039;s has a long reach and a wider catching radius than any defender on the field. Jackson often let the play develop and didn’t flash his hands into the frame until the last possible second.
