How tragically the Tennessee Volunteers are leaving!

Ramel Keyton Discusses Early Assessment With Media: Tennessee’s Wide Receiver Room Only Advancing Following NFL Departures
Last Saturday, the Tennessee Volunteers didn’t use its wide receivers too often, but when they did, they were more than capable of handling the pressure.

Not much can be inferred from the passing game when Tennessee outran Virginia by 287 yards. Tennessee’s recent demonstration of their ability to play in a two-dimensional fashion is encouraging and will help them when they enter SEC play. The Tennessee receivers appear more than capable of covering the voids left by Jalin Hyatt and Cedric Tillman, based on the limited sample size that we were able to observe.

Among the many things I observed about the recipient group is its diversity. The Vols possessed a lot of speed last year, which was essential for that offense. But Dont’e Thornton, Bru McCoy, Ramel Keyton, and Squirrel White are very different players this year.

White shown on Saturday that he is more than simply an athlete, and his hands and route running are strong points as a receiver. We already know that he is athletic. If quarterback Joe Milton hadn’t dropped a certain touchdown on a brilliant ball, Ramel Keyton would have likely scored the most. still poses a serious threat when it comes to plays, and it appears that Tennessee may want to employ him more as a volume player this season. However, he needs to demonstrate this.

Bru McCoy only had two catches for 21 yards, so we didn’t get to see much of him, but one of those catches demonstrated his abilities. McCoy, though he may not be the only one, will be a contested catch receiver because of his good hands, decent size, and nice build. The best catch the Vols had all game was when he made a catch on a slant in traffic, when he was nearly instantaneously struck.
