NFL QB Rankings: Deshaun Watson of the Browns is ranked in the bottom ten.

As Watson enters the third year of a five-year contract with Cleveland in 2024, he has a lot to show. Although it’s unclear how his throwing shoulder fracture will affect his performance, he stated in his most recent QB Unplugged podcast update that he plans to start throwing the football later this spring.

The Browns were looking for an answer to their long-standing quarterback dilemma when they acquired Watson in March 2022. Unfortunate events have kept Watson from reaching his full potential with Cleveland thus far.

Deshaun Watson was once widely regarded as one of the NFL’s top 10 quarterbacks.

Watson has not been the same elite quarterback since being traded to the Browns over two years ago, since he has only played in 12 games since then. Following an 11-game suspension in 2022, Watson—his first season in Cleveland—played in six games, completing passes for 1,102 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions.
