ESPN just announced that former Alabama coach Nick Saban will serve as an analyst on “College GameDay”.

Nick Saban, the former coach of Alabama, won’t be taking much time off after ending his coaching career after the greatest run in collegiate football history. Beginning in the 2024 season, the seven-time national champion will be a part of ESPN’s College GameDay. In this role, he will be required to select victors on a weekly basis, which could provide challenges for him.

When asked if he would ever pick against the Crimson Tide if given the opportunity to select an Alabama game, Nick Saban was questioned on Monday during a press conference in Birmingham to reveal the recipient of the Nick Saban Legacy Award. He was careful with his words.

“I’ve made an effort not to pick people,” Saban remarked. “I believe I will now need to accomplish that. It’s not always necessary, in my opinion, to select the team you believe will win. It’s acceptable to feel spiritually about the people you like and who you desire to prevail.

The renowned former Alabama coach seems willing to choose his old side despite his intuition telling him differently. It will be interesting to see where Saban goes from there, once he finds himself in that situation.

On January 12, Kalen DeBoer was appointed as Saban’s replacement. DeBoer was praised by Saban as a “outstanding choice” to lead the Tide.

On Friday, Vince McMahon formally resigned from his position as executive chairman of TKO, the parent company of WWE, following accusations of physical abuse, trafficking, and sexual assault.

Janel Grant, a former employee of WWE, filed a lawsuit on Thursday alleging that from 2019 to 2022, McMahon sexually assaulted her and encouraged her to have sex with other executives and a professional wrestler.

In a statement made public on Friday night, McMahon announced his resignation while refuting the accusations.

“I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effective immediately, out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and Superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader it is today,” McMahon said in a statement.

In an email to employees, WWE president Nick Khan said that McMahon had resigned as executive chairman of TKO Group Holdings.
