Just a few weeks remain until the 2024 season begins, with a historic double header in Las Vegas on March 3.

Kevin Walters, the coach of the Broncos, has indicated who will start on one wing for their game against the Roosters.

In the final preseason hit, Ricky Stuart will examine his halves closely in addition to throwing a curveball in terms of selection.

In the meantime, the Panthers have selected a nearly full strength squad to play Wigan in the World Club Challenge on Sunday morning.

Team Tips: Josh Schuster will not play in the team’s season opener in Vegas. Schuster was supposed to be “saved” for Saturday’s match against Brisbane before departing on Sunday to meet his teammates in Las Vegas. Schuster was a last-minute scratch for Manly’s pre-season challenge match against the Roosters last week.

That won’t happen, though, as the only two players from Saturday’s trial—Brad Parker and the suspended Toff Sipley—are scheduled to travel to the United States to join the rest of the team, who departed on Wednesday after making a stopover in Fiji.

For Schuster, who suffered from chickenpox and a broken finger prior to spraining his calf in early January, it’s just another upsetting blow.

“We thought he would play the trial against the Broncos, but on Monday morning, I received a call from the medical staff, specifically from Chris Bailey, the head of physiotherapy, who expressed concern about the tightness in his calf.”

Josh had some tightness during the last two runs, but he made it through training without any problems.

“(Chris) stated that there were red flags or warning signs, and he believed the cautious course of not sending him to Vegas and withdrawing him from the trial game to give him a few weeks to rehabilitate with the remaining staff would provide him with the best chance to play.

“Over the last two weeks, I’ve probably placed deadlines on it, but I don’t want to do that anymore because it puts pressure on both ‘Schuey’ and our medical staff.

The race to start in the backrow is currently being led by Ben Trbojevic. After receiving a three-match suspension for a dangerous tackle on Dom Young, Toafofoa Sipley will not be participating in the Vegas series. Sipley’s replacements include veteran Aaron Woods and recent recruit Aitasi James.

Isaiah Tass, Campbell Graham, Latrell Mitchell, and Alex Johnston were the predicted members of the Rabbitohs squad. 5. Cody Walker; 6. Jacob Gagai 7. Jai Arrow; 8. Lachlan Ilias Damien Cook, 9. 10. Tevita Tatola 11. The Koloamatangi Keaon 12. Cameron Murray 13. Jacob Host 14. Havili Siliva 15. Tallis Duncan 16. Burgess Tom 17. Sean Keppie

Team Advice: South Sydney head coach Jason Demetriou has disclosed the requirements for standout five-eighth Cody Walker to participate in the season-opening match against Manly. In an attempt to suit up in Las Vegas, Walker will lead a light practice at the Rabbitohs’ training facility in San Diego, according to the Daily Telegraph. “He has a lot of potential. He will run for rehabilitation on Thursday, Saturday, and Monday thanks to the way the physiotherapists have structured him, according to Demetriou. “He will join the rest of the team on Monday if he passes all of those tests.
