It seemed that as soon as Pep Guardiola
has a perfectly healthy team, an injury
strikes.
In a nail-biting Premier League title
match on Sunday, Manchester City
emerged with a valuable point against
Liverpool.
Even though John Stones gave Pep
Guardiola’s team the lead, they have
never fared well at Anfield and are still
very much in the running for the title,
trailing just leaders Arsenal and Jurgen
Klopp’s team by one point.
At Anfield, Ederson upended Darwin
Nunez in the box to give away a penalty,
which Alexis Mac Allister converted,
causing City to be hammered again in
short succession.
Worse, the Brazilian could barely
continue after getting hurt in the
challenge, even though he tried to save
the spot kick.
It turns out that injured his
thigh and will be out for three to four
weeks.
