The Chicago Bulls have not had the best luck with injuries this season. They already lost All-Star Zach LaVine and up-and-coming forward Patrick Williams to season-ending surgeries last month, and it looks like the team will also miss rising star Coby White after the prolific guard suffered a hip injury late in the game against the Indiana Pacers.
Awkward fall
The injury occurred with only 5.1 seconds left in the game. The Bulls were down one, 115-114, when White got hold of the ball and sped up the floor for what he thought would be an easy layup.
However, Pacers big man Pascal Siakam caught up with the former Tar Heel and blocked his layup from behind. However, in the aftermath of the play, Siakam landed on White’s back, forcing him to land awkwardly and painfully.
After a few moments of writhing in pain and clutching his leg, White got up and was helped back to the locker room.
