Crocker shares fresh image of waterlogged Dens Park pitch for Rangers clash v Dundee amid doubt

Sky Sports analyst Ian Crocker has revealed a new image of the Dens Park surface, raising questions about Rangers’ ability to play Dundee on Sunday.

Heavy rain has hit Tayside, forcing the Gers to announce the Scottish Premiership clash on March 17th is now subject to a pitch inspection at 9:15am.

According to the Met Office, there is a 10% probability of rain throughout the day in Dundee on March 17, thus things are unlikely to worsen.

This game should go ahead if the groundsmen can clear the excess water and the drainage on the Dens Park pitch is effective, as kickoff is still about three hours away.

Rangers would want to play this game to prevent fixture congestion following the impending international break, which begins after this weekend.

The Gers also lost to Benfica on Thursday night and were eliminated from the Europa League, so they’ll need to rebound with a win in the Scottish Premiership before a two-week break.

Let’s see what happens when the pitch inspection goes ahead.
