The Boston Celtics have had an incredible season since the beginning of the 2023–24 league. As the playoffs draw near, the
team as a whole—rather than a select few players—has been the driving force behind their ascent to the top of the NBA. Given that the East’s top seed will probably be decided in the next two games, the Celtics can rest players like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for their matches against lower-division teams.
The NBA analysts are aware that nothing will matter even though Boston consistently dominates teams if they are unable to win the Larry O’Brien Trophy in June. The Celtics’ over-reliance on the three-point shooting, which they know they are the best at, and their clutch play execution when games slow down and defenses adjust have been some of their problems.
