Philadelphia Brian Snitker, the manager of the Atlanta Braves, made sure his family avoided Philadelphia on Opening Day.
During spring training, Snitker blasted Phillies fans for what he perceived to be inappropriate actions during the playoffs directed at his wife and other friends and family in Atlanta.
Snitker stated, “It’s rough there,” during an interview that aired on March 21 on Atlanta radio station WZGC. “To be honest, they don’t seem to mind either. Last year was really difficult for them all, to the point of concern.”
In the National League Division Series, the Phillies have defeated the Braves in Philadelphia the previous two seasons. The Braves have won the 2021 World Series and six consecutive NL East championships.
When asked what made his family feel uneasy at the ballpark on Friday, Snitker responded, “I won’t go into all of that. Let’s discuss today.
In the dugout in Atlanta, Snitker remarked, “My wife is babysitting, and the grandchildren are in school.” “They wouldn’t be anywhere, honestly, other than home.”
Aside from the fact that Citizens Bank Park is commemorating its 20th anniversary this season, Snitker highlighted the atmosphere at the park, which is known for being among the wildest baseball venues.
“This is a passionate fan base, and there’s a lot of energy in the air and rightly so,” Snitker stated. “This club is excellent. These supporters take great pride in their work.
