Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin appear to be embroiled in an online squabble. Throughout the day, the two have been tweeting at each other. Still, it’s reasonable to assume Brown initiated it.
He made an insensitive joke about Hamlin this morning. Unsurprisingly, Hamlin took offense to it and retaliated against Brown. What, then, was Brown’s reaction to that? It’s safe to say that it enraged Brown.
Following Hamlin’s answer, Antonio Brown has disparaged the football player on Twitter on multiple occasions. Brown began by essentially referring to Hamlin as a “fictional character” who met a “tragic death.” As a consequence, Brown was called out by Hamlin, who also questioned the content’s source and its dissemination.
Brown laughed along with that joke. He uploaded a video of him posing for pictures with what look to be high school students. In addition to playing into the joke that the children are the ones who publish Brown’s tweets, Brown quipped that he “hired them to shoot the video and didn’t pay them.”
What other tweets did Brown make? He published an AI picture of someone who appeared to be Hamlin and an urn bearing Hamlin’s initials. In addition, Brown posted a photo-shopped picture of herself cradling Hamlin when she was a baby. He also tweeted something else in which he effectively labeled Hamlin as a subpar football player.
