NFL draft: Rams met with Washington OT Troy Fautanu before pro day

It appears that the Pittsburgh Steelers are especially interested in one Pac-12 school as they get ready for the NFL Draft.

On March 29, the University of Washington held its Pro Day, and it seems that the Steelers were impressed with a few of the guys there.

Michael Penix Jr., the quarterback, is the one most likely to make headlines. After showcasing unexpected athleticism on his Pro Day, he was reportedly scheduled for a visit with the Steelers.

It took some time for Fautanu’s college football career to really take off. In his first year at Washington, he redshirted, and the next year, he appeared in just four games.

It took Fautanu until his fourth year to establish himself as a consistent starter.

Fautanu started to have an effect after he was guaranteed a starting position.

In 13 games during the 2022 season, Fautanu didn’t allow a single sack. He was named to the All-Pac 12 Second Team as a result.
