Prior to beginning his freshman year of high school, in June 2022, Aaron Gregory recalls making his first trip to Tennessee. However, it took the Vols about six months to extend a scholarship offer to him after the visit, and since then, a lot has changed in his recruitment.
With offers from over 30 schools, the five-star athlete from Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Georgia, is currently among the most sought-after sophomores in the nation. Josh Heupel, the coach at Tennessee, has made him a top priority on his staff. Gregory was delighted once more when he returned to Knoxville on Wednesday to watch the Vols’ inaugural spring scrimmage.
After becoming an All-American at Miami, Sapp went on to accumulate 573 tackles, 96 and a half sacks, and 19 forced fumbles throughout his 13-year NFL career. He won the Super Bowl and was a seven-time Pro Bowl player.
Sapp made several trips to Boulder in 2023 to see Coach Prime and the Buffaloes, ten years after being enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He contracted the virus to join the group.
Earlier last winter, Sapp admitted to Neely on Thee Pregame Show that “it really infected me.” “When the kids were around me, there was something about them. It was the inquiries that they posed. It resembled a process of thinking, as in “Really? I’ve never considered it in that light. That’s unfamiliar to me. I merely grinned and averted my gaze.
“My hip pain was the finest thing that could have occurred to me. My second hip, which had undergone surgery, was the source of my aches and pains. When you ascend into the mountains, chaos seems to erupt. The Boulder training room will correct you. I thought, “Oh yeah, these are the d-line,” as I was encircled by the hot tub.
