An update on Joe Burrow’s injury recovery is provided…read now

SN 50: Remembering Joe Burrow's record ...

The season-ending injury to Joe Burrow in 2023 ended the Cincinnati Bengals’ chances of winning the Super Bowl. He had surgery right away to fix the problem, but his recuperation always seemed to take a while.

Geoff Hobson was able to speak with Burrow and receive an encouraging update on his injury and recovery process, which he shared in a recent post on Bengals.com.

“I work out daily at the rehab. That’s a constant component, according to Burrow. It hasn’t actually had a big impact on my offseason training. I’ve been able to perform nearly all of my typical lifting and conditioning tasks. I’m in excellent physical shape.

Based on this, it appears that if Burrow is performing his regular offseason lifting and conditioning, then certain restrictions have already been lifted. He also makes a point of saying that he wants to get stronger and perhaps play at a heavier weight than his previous 215 pounds.

Is there any chance that he stays healthy and helps the Bengals win the Super Bowl with that?

For the Bengals, getting Burrow back to health and keeping him that way until Week 1 is crucial throughout the summer. Because Burrow was sidelined for the preseason and not fully recovered for the start of the Bengals’ 2022 and 2023 seasons, the team started the seasons slowly.

This might finally be the year that the Bengals get off to a fast start under Burrow and are contenders for the one seed and home field advantage through the NFL Playoffs if he can warm up during the preseason this year and be fully healthy on the opening snap of Week 1.
