This week, a top athlete in the 2026 class made his first recruiting visit to Tennessee and left with an offer from the Vols.
When Jayden McGregory was in the eighth grade, he recalls flying to Tennessee to see a Vols home game at Neyland Stadium more than two years ago. When he returned to Knoxville this week, things had changed from when he was being recruited by them.
The four-star athlete from Valley High School in Des Moines, Iowa, who has been attracting attention from Tennessee for weeks, paid a visit to the Vols on Tuesday during one of their spring practices. While he was there, he accepted a scholarship offer from them, and he stated that he “definitely” expects them to be a competitive candidate in his future recruiting.
