Breaking News: Orange and White Game players from Tennessee do not participate due to…

Tennessee football spring practice Orange & White game date announced

Due to injuries sustained this spring, several Tennessee Vols will not be playing in the Orange & White Game this year. Many Vols are not wearing their uniforms and are not playing in the yearly spring game; others are wearing their uniforms and attending the pregame but will not be taking part in the scrimmage.

Out of the Orange & White Game, the Vols fielded 18 players, 12 of them are on the offensive end of the court. Linebackers Keenan Pili, Arion Carter, and Elijah Herring are out on defense when it comes to the defensive end of the ball. The secondary and defensive lines are also dealing with some ailments for Tennessee.

The only player in the group who warmed up before the game is Pili. Of all defensive position groups, linebackers were the most injured in the spring game, with four totaled.

Although Tennessee’s wide receiver corps is strong this year, there are a lot of things we will not see in the spring game. The Orange & White game will include five receivers who are not in the lineup, giving the players who are there a chance to advance up the depth chart and contribute to the Vols’ potent attack.

The offensive line is another unit that is suffering from injuries. Senior Center won’t give us a complete sneak peek at Tennessee’s offensive line coming autumn. Cooper Mays is out of the Javontez Spraggins game in the spring.
