
On April 11, Jonas Aidoo registered for the NBA Draft and used the NCAA Transfer Portal. He has now given speeches at other schools about how he might contribute his skills to their curriculum. The Tennessee basketball forward may decide to return to Rocky Top, but based on a 247Sports Crystal Ball, Baylor appears to have the edge in landing him.
This past season, Aidoo had a breakout junior season and established himself as Tennessee’s main paint force. He was a huge asset to the Vols, changing the course of several games and playing a major role in the team’s SEC Championship victory.
Despite shooting just 51.5% from the field, he averaged 11.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game. Although he didn’t perform as well towards the end of the NCAA Tournament, he was still a valuable player for Tennessee this season. That’s the reason he was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team and First Team All-SEC this past season.
Three clubs are currently putting in a lot of effort to win Aidoo over. Two of the three teams—including an SEC foe—are the Vols’ rivals and border the Volunteer State. In addition, Aidoo submitted his name for the NBA Draft and is expected to get professional interest.
