There is conjecture throughout the NFL that the Steelers may try to move up in the first round. However, others think they are willing to revert from the number 20 spot, unlike previous year. The business is obviously considering its choices even if they haven’t publicly said what they intend to do. What benefits and drawbacks come with dealing the 20th choice in the draft?
If the Steelers are to be taken seriously as an AFC contender, they must address a number of gaps in their lineup, and this draft is crucial to that effort. These players are abundant at spots that Pittsburgh needs them, like wide receiver, offensive line, and secondary. Reentering the game in the first round presents the finest chance to develop the roster cohesively. More talent on the roster is what Omar Khan and Mike Tomlin are looking for, and adding more picks in the first 100 picks nearly ensures that.
