Transfer News: It’s with great pleasure that Karoline Striplin has finally committed to the Hoosiers on a single option.

Get to know Lady Vol Karoline Striplin

Teri Moren, the head coach of Indiana Women’s Basketball, has secured her first transfer commitment. Karoline Striplin, a former forward for the Tennessee Lady Vols, is joining the Hoosiers for her last season of eligibility. Over her Tennessee career, Striplin averaged 7.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 91 games (33 starts).

Striplin is a name Moren is familiar with; in November, Indiana played Tennessee at the Fort Myers Tip-Off Classic. In that game, she finished with 13 points and 3 rebounds.

In the release, Indiana head coach Teri Moren described Caroline as a “tough post player who can score inside and out while also establishing herself as a great post defender.” “She is a player who we’ve faced a couple of times and have been familiar with since high school, so we know her skill set and work ethic will be the perfect fit for us.”

A connection exists between Indiana and Striplin. She committed to Tennessee, but not before the Hoosiers recruited her right out of high school.

How the Striplin Fits
From the Sweet-16 squad the previous year, Indiana returns three starters. But they lost Mackenzie Holmes and Sara Scalia, two of the top players from the squad from the previous season. The Hoosiers now have three additional scholarships available after adding Striplin.

The native of Alabama provides Indiana the size it missed when Holmes left for the WNBA. She’ll probably go off against Lily Meister and the recovering former Ohio Valley Freshman of the Year, Sharnecce Currie-Jelks.
