WVLT – KNOXVILLE, Tenn. The Lady Vols softball team will face LSU at 6 p.m. today due to a rain delay. The group declared on Thursday.
Their original scheduled time was 11 a.m.
The delay is the result of heavy weather that swept into East Tennessee, killing one person in Claiborne County and damaging damage.

After winning the SEC regular season championship for the second consecutive year, Tennessee, the defending tournament champions, was awarded the top seed.

In the opening round of the 2024 SEC Softball Tournament, Tennessee will square off against LSU, a rematch with the Tigers. Earlier this season, UT and LSU played a three-game series in Knoxville, with the Lady Vols winning the series two games to one.
