STILLWATER, Oklahoma – The Tennessee women’s tennis team will return to the Super Regional round of the 2024 NCAA Women’s Tennis Tournament for the second year in a row. At the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Saturday, the Lady Volunteers will take on Oklahoma State, ranked first, with the first serve scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
In the 2024 NCAA Women’s Tennis Tournament, the No. 16-seeded Lady Volunteers (20-7, 9-4) defeated both of their opponents in the First and Second Rounds. The team defeated Murray State and No. 21 Duke in back-to-back games, sending the Big Orange to their first Sweet 16 appearance since 2004.

first-placed Oklahoma State (29-0, 13-0 Big 12) is riding a twenty-nine-game winning run going into the tournament. The Cowgirls won all three of their games by a cumulative score of 12-1, maintaining a perfect record in conference play and easily winning their league tournament.
The squad won three of the four annual Big 12 trophies, indicating that it was highly regarded in the end-of-season competition. Ange Oby Kajuru won Big 12 Player of the Year, and Chris Young won his second Big 12 Coach of the Year award. Anastasiya Komar won Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, and Olivia Lincer was named Big 12 Women’s Tennis Freshman of the Year.
