Bills Mafia, that moment is almost here! Week 2 of the Buffalo Bills’ 2024–25 schedule will be made available. On September 12, at 8:15 p.m. EST, the Bills will travel to Miami to play the Dolphins and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on Thursday Night Football, which is sponsored by Amazon Prime Video.
This Thursday Night Football game, which is the first NFL Prime Video game of the season, will only be available on Prime Video starting on September 12; however, Buffalo will also broadcast the game locally, just like Buffalo’s Thursday Night Football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. For those who may not be aware, Thursday Night Football games are exclusive on Prime Video.
The last time these two teams were shown on primetime television was in Week 18 of the 2023–24 season, when Buffalo defeated the New York Giants 21–14 to win the AFC East for the fourth consecutive year.
Josh Allen, the quarterback, has a 10-2 career record against the Dolphins and has totaled 3,363 yards, 33 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions. It is clear that he enjoys playing against them. Buffalo has won a staggering 12 of the previous 15 regular season meetings with Miami, and has not lost to them since the “heat stroke game” in 2022. It will take time to determine which weapon becomes the next Dolphins dominator, as former Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs often feasted on Miami alongside Allen.
