KNOXVILLE, Tenn.— Head coach Kim Caldwell of the T, in her first year, has announced the program’s acquisition of Lexie Barrier, a former James Madison University assistant coach, as its fifth assistant coach.
Since joining UT, Caldwell has hired Barrier along with other assistants Roman Tubner, Gabe Lazo, Jenna Burdette, and Angel Rizor, as well as Nolan Harvath, the director of women’s basketball sports performance.
“I’m thrilled to have Lexie join our team,” Caldwell remarked. “She is an up-and-coming coach who is hungry, has great energy and likes to recruit. I’ve known her for some time. She was a good player whose career I have followed, and I’m so excited to have her here and welcome her to the Lady Vol family.”

Prior to working at Marshall, Barrier worked as a graduate manager at NC State during the 2020–21 season. In 2021, she graduated with an MBA in adult and continuing professional education.
