Former Tennessee Vols baseball standout gets tough news | Yardbarker

After making a fantastic play for the Colorado Rockies this past weekend, former Tennessee Vols outfielder Jordan Beck received some unsettling news.

On Saturday night, while playing left field for the Rockies, the former Vol made an incredible diving catch that denied Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos a hit.

Unfortunately for Beck, his highlight-reel catch resulted in a shattered hand.

With a fracture to his left hand, the Rockies announced on Sunday that Beck will be placed on the 10-Day IL.

Although Beck’s comeback date is unknown, it is anticipated that he will be out for at least four to six weeks.

Beck, a first round selection by the Rockies in the 2022 MLB Draft, made his MLB debut earlier this season.

The former Vol was hitting .190 with two home runs, 8 RBIs, and two stolen bases through his first 23 games with the Rockies.
