Information about Dan Hurley’s new contract at UConn was leaked.
Dan Hurley’s new employer, the Los Angeles Lakers, may have been willing to pay him more, but the head coach at UConn is still receiving a sizable boost.

Hurley’s most recent contract with UConn is anticipated to be worth approximately $50 million over six years, according to Mike Anthony of CT Insider. That would represent an annual rise of about $3 million. With a contract like that, Hurley would join Bill Self and John Calipari as the three highest-paid coaches in the country. Calipari’s base pay at Arkansas is $7 million, but he will probably receive bonuses that will increase that amount. Self earned over $9 million at Kansas during the previous season, according to data from USA Today.
Hurley reportedly declined a scholarship offer from a well-known university that would have likely paid him more than UConn. With the Lakers, he supposedly might have earned almost $11 million annually.
