Aleksandar Djordjevic, the head coach of China’s men’s basketball team, was fired as a result of the squad’s poor performance at the World Cup, Asian Games, and Paris Olympics.

Following Djordjevic’s 18-month term, the Chinese Basketball Association on Thursday began the process of selecting its next manager. The organization hopes to qualify for both the 2027 World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
After the Chinese men’s basketball team performed poorly at the World Cup and Asian Games and lost out on the Paris Olympics, head coach Aleksandar Djordjevic was fired.
