According to Brett McMurphy’s report on Monday, the Buckeyes have rescheduled their home game against the Huskies in 2025 to take on Grambling State in the FCS. As of right now, no explanation for the cancellation has been given.

Texas is the Buckeyes’ non-conference opponent in 2025, so that could have contributed. On the other hand, the Huskies have been losing for almost ten years. The team’s 8-5 record from 2010 was their last winning season at UConn.

Grambling State didn’t fare much better, with the Tigers finishing 5-6 last season, marking four straight losing seasons.

College football supporters made fun of the Buckeyes’ decision to postpone their game against UConn as a result. While some supporters called up Ohio State’s comparatively easy schedule in 2024, others joked that Ohio State was “scared” to play the Huskies.
