Everton have reportedly inquired about out-of-favour Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips. The

28-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan at West Ham, but struggled to regain form. He made only eight appearances for then-manager David Moyes, and his future at the Etihad is questionable. Phillips had a dreadful stint at City, making only 10 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s team in the first half of the season. After failing to take his chance during Rodri’s three-game suspension, the City manager acknowledged he difficult to envision Phillips in his team.

According to the Daily Mail, Sean Dyche is focusing on rebuilding their midfield with Andre Gomes leaving Merseyside this summer, while Dele Alli’s future is still unclear. However, a number of enquiries have been made to clubs, and Phillips is said to have been one of them. Meanwhile, Portsmouth are confident of bringing back Alex Robertson on loan. The 21-year-old spent last season at Fratton Park at the newly promoted Championship side, making 27 appearances.
