NFL: Eight UFL players have now agreed to contracts for the 2024 season….

The UFL has developed into one of the NFL’s top recruiting destinations, with many athletes receiving the chance to train with the pros before to the 2024 campaign. At least eight players have signed contracts to be on league rosters for the upcoming season, out of the over 17 players that have had workouts for the league.
It seems that certain players were signed to play on the field, and in some cases, even start, for teams during the regular season, even though they might not see the field.
This past Tuesday night, the UFL highlighted and celebrated all the 8 players who, have so far, signed contracts this week for the upcoming season.
This number of players is also likely to rise soon, if it has not already since Tuesday night. As mentioned prior, there are at least 9 other players who conducted workouts with teams, and there are more to come. So there should be even more UFL players to make the jump this year.
The Atlanta Falcons are purportedly signing defensive tackle Prince Emili and offensive lineman Jaryd Smith, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC. In addition, running back Ricky Person, who played for the Birmingham Stallions, the team that won the title, is joining the Seattle Seahawks. He ran for more over 100 yards in the UFL Championship game.
According to reports, the Denver Broncos are planning to sign defensive tackle Dondrea Tillman, therefore they are also adding another UFL player to their roster. We now have 12 players, since kicker Ramiz Ahmed is anticipated to sign with the Washington Commanders. Having signed three players out of the UFL, the Dallas Cowboys have been the busiest team in terms of UFL recruitment.
The reports coming from Dallas say that number may increase as well.
It is incredible to see the growth that the UFL has made over the last half decade, and getting to see these players make the push from one league to another is quite special. You can’t help but root for some of these players as everyone loves a good redemption story. We will have to wait and see which of these guys will get to see the field and who can maybe even become a starter for an NFL roster.
