Luka Doncic said he will embrace his unique body like Nikola Jokic…
Superstar Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks was unsuccessful in the NBA Finals. Throughout the series, the MVP contender was frequently targeted and had defensive difficulties. It was obvious that the Boston Celtics’ strategy included wearing down the All-Star guard. NBA fans have been worried about Doncic’s conditioning ever since he joined the team.
Doncic would be wise to take the lead from Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic when the criticism starts to come in. Before he helped the Nuggets win a championship and became a perennial MVP candidate, the three-time MVP was frequently questioned for his lack of conditioning. Jokic demonstrated that even if you’re not one of the best athletes, you can still succeed with extraordinary skill.
Similar to Jokic, Doncic has undeniable skill. When he’s on the offensive line, he’s unstoppable. But Doncic needs to figure out how to get better on defense. So be it if that means he has to get better at conditioning. He should, however, concentrate on managing the angle and depending more on his basketball intelligence than his raw physical prowess.
