In Bloomington, Indiana, on June 24, Indiana University will host the 2024 International Thespian Festival. Broadway favorites will be performing at this year’s festival, in addition to master seminars, college auditions, Main Stage shows from theatrical troupes across the nation, and more.

Nine Schools Selected to Perform on High School's Biggest Stage at the 2024  International Thespian Festival

Zachary Noah Piser (KPOP); Ebony Blake and John Skelley (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child); Cameron Sheik, Steven Sater, and Jessie Nelson (Alice by Heart); Carly Hughes (Chicago); Matt Cox (Witches!? In Salem?!); TJ Young (Reel Times at Somerset High); and Adam Szymkowicz, Masi Asare, and John Simpkins (Marian, or the True Tale of Robin Hood) are among those scheduled to appear during the week.

The opening ceremony of the festival will be co-hosted by Piser, Blake, and Skelley. Broadway Plus is providing Krauss’ appearance, while Broadway Licensing is providing Blake and Skelley’s. In addition to participating in a conversation and question-and-answer session with Music Theatre International regarding their new musical, the Between the Lines team will back their work’s ITF Main Stage debut. Sheik, Sater, and Nelson will hold a talk about their musical Alice by Heart with MTI and will also be supporting the show’s Main Stage debut. Hughes is collaborating with ETF and the Princess Grace Foundation to offer an audition coaching workshop. During the week, Young will be using Stage Partners’ support to workshop his new play, Reel Times, at Somerset High. Also, he will direct a playwriting.

Main Stage performances include Into the Woods from Hoboken High School in Hoboken, New Jersey; Rent: School Edition from Rock Ridge Performing Arts in Ashburn, Virginia; My Heart Says Go from Warsaw Community High School in Warsaw, Indiana; and Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical from Wauwatosa West High School in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Silent Sky from Arroyo Grande High School in Arroyo Grande, California; Between the Lines from Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin; Kinky Boots from Denver School of the Arts in Denver, Colorado; Indecent from Episcopal School of Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Alice By Heart from Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins, Colorado; and Into the Woods from Hoboken High School in Hoboken, New Jersey.
