KNOXVILLE, Tennessee – The 2024 WNBA season is nearing its conclusion as June draws to a close. Tuesday night marks the league’s return to action following a Monday break.

Three separate teams have former Lady Vols on their rosters. The Seattle Storm are led by center Mercedes Russell and guard Jordan Horston. With a 10-6 record, their team presently sits second in the Western Conference and fourth overall in the league.

In other teams, the Los Angeles Sparks are led by rookie forward Rickea Jackson and guard/forward Rae Burrell, while the Chicago Sky are led by guard Diamond DeShields and forward Isabelle Harrison.

Burrell Rae

From 2018 to 22 Rae Burrell had 14 appearances in games.

This season, Diamond DeShields (2014–17) has made 13 appearances for the Sky since his return. DeShields is averaging 5.8 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.5 rebounds in 17.2 minutes a game on the court. DeShields most recently played on June 23 against the Indiana Fever, scoring eight points, grabbing two steals, dishing out an assist, and blocking a shot in 17 minutes. On May 18 against Dallas, she recorded her career highs of 16 points and five rebounds.
