Milicic Jr. Forms the Olympic Qualifying Team for Poland in 2024…
Igor MiliĠić Jr., a senior forward from Tennessee, has been selected for Poland’s 12-man Olympic qualifying squad. He will compete in the qualification round on Wednesday in Valencia, Spain.

Miličić Jr., who was originally included in the first 17-man roster, was included in the final 12-man roster after spending the previous two weeks training in Poland and playing in friendlies with the squad.
Poland is participating in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT), which takes place in Valencia from July 2–7, in an attempt to secure a position in the Paris Olympics field.
Poland will now play its opening Group B match this Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. ET against the Bahamas, and its opening match is scheduled for Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET against Finland. After that, it moves on to a bracket stage where Spain, Lebanon, and Angola are competitors. A place in the Paris Olympics, which are set to take place from July 27 to August 11, will be awarded to the victor of the bracket stage. On DAZN, the qualifying matches will be shown live.
Twelve nations in all have made it to the Olympics in Paris. Seven of those qualifying teams were created for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, and France was awarded.

Miličić’s father is Igor Miličić Sr., the third-year head coach of the Polish National Team. He played professionally from 1993-2013 and owns five Polish Cup titles, three as a player and two as a coach.
