KNOXVILLE, Tennessee – The Tennessee men’s tennis team will welcome Alejandro Moreno for the 2024–25 campaign, head coach Chris Woodruff said on Thursday.

The Knoxville native played his first two seasons at Auburn, where he finished with a 33-26 singles record and a 26-22 doubles record. He had an 11-9 record in the dual season of 2024, mostly at the No. 3 and No. 4 courts in singles.
In addition to being selected as an ITA Scholar Athlete and a member of the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll, Moreno was named to the SEC All-Freshman team during his rookie season with the Tigers.
“Adding local talent to our roster is very important to us,” Woodruff stated. “We are thrilled that Alejandro will be visiting Tennessee. Alejandro has additionally demonstrated success in
success in our league, and we’re looking forward to helping him throughout his development.”
During the fall slate in his sophomore campaign at Auburn, Moreno earned a career-high ITA singles ranking of 65th.
Moreno was rated as the top player in Tennessee, fourth in the southeast region and 11th in the nation coming out of high school.
