Chicago (WLS) — On Sunday night, the two Major League Baseball teams in Chicago revealed their selections in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft.

Hagen Smith, a left-handed pitcher, was chosen by the Chicago White Sox with the fifth overall choice. Hagen, 20, was an Arkansas Razorbacks player.
Third baseman Cam Smith was chosen by the Chicago Cubs with the 14th overall choice. Played for the Florida State Seminoles, Smith is 21 years old.

In the ensuing rounds of the 2024 MLB Draft, the White Sox will have five additional selections.
In the remaining draft rounds, the Cubs will have four additional draft selections.
