UConn men’s basketball’s non-conference schedule is coming into focus as the school announced a home-and-home series with the University of Texas, one of the newest members of the SEC.
On December 8, 2024, the Huskies will make a visit to the Moody Center, and on December 12, 2025, they will host. In their all-time rivalry, UConn and Texas have a 7-3 record. UConn most recently defeated Texas, 81-71, at Madison Square Garden at the 2023 Empire Classic.
On December 29, 2015, UConn defeated Texas 71-66 in their most recent visit. Liam McNeeley, a freshman, will have a sort of homecoming at the 2024 competition, having grown up almost 200 miles away.
The Huskies’ 2024 non-conference schedule now includes a game against Gonzaga in New York on December 5 at home against Baylor.
York City (Dec. 14), and the Maui Invitational (Nov. 25-27), whose field includes Auburn, Colorado, Dayton, Iowa State, Memphis, Michigan State, North Carolina.
