On NFL Network’s “The Insiders,” former Indianapolis Colts all-time great and pass rush guru Dwight Freeney recently expressed his high regard for two of the team’s extremely talented young players as he counts down the literal days until he is inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
When asked about UCLA rookie edge Laiatu Latu, who the Colts selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, making him the first defensive player selected collectively, Freeney had nothing but praise for the first-year pass rusher who appears to be well-developed and who also provides valuable positional versatility:
Regarding what he’s seen so far from Latu, Freeney said on NFL Network’s “The Insiders,” “I think he has size, and he has mobility.”
